Dr. Weiyu Li joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering as the Alfred Fritz Assistant Professor in Fall 2024. She leads the Li’s Energy and Sustainability Solutions (LESS) lab, which develops advanced models and simulations to promote sustainable energy conversion, utilization, and decarbonization. Her research enhances the understanding of electrochemical processes in high-energy-density batteries, improving safety, longevity, and energy density, while also applying her expertise to smart agriculture, water management, and biomedical modeling. Dr. Li holds a PhD in Energy Science and Engineering from Stanford University and an M.Sc. from Princeton University.
